GOOGLE EARTH

The original name of the Google Earth software is Earth view 3D. The software is developed by the Keyhole, Inc company. In 2004 Google bought the rights and named it Google Earth. Google Earth is a free program from Google that allows you to fly over a virtual globe and view the earth through satellite images.

Virtual globe

It is a 3D model of Earth in which you can visit various places in a virtual way. Like normal globe we can see the rivers mountains and human made roads and buildings in the surface of Earth.

How we get the information from the Google Earth

There are many satellites which are placed in space which are used to take the pictures from the earth and these pictures from the different parts of the earth are saves in a digital format, which we see in the Google Earth software.

Different tools in the Google Earth software

There are various tools in the Google earth software which are listed below-

Look around to move the image all around by fixing the globe static

Move around only to turn the group globe

Slider used to zoom in zoom out.

Search box to write the name of the place which we want to search.

Get direction to show the way from one place to another.

History to display the previous position of any place.

Layers to display sum of son's like 3D buildings, gallery and roads.

Ruler to display the distance between two places.

Crime which is done on Internet or Computer is called Cyber Crime. We should be very alert when using internet because there are many malicious programs hidden on internet.
