What is Inkscape?

Inkscape is a simple drawing and painting computer program which is freely available on the internet. It is used to make and edit the vector image for example shapes like rectangle, square, triangle, circle, lines, logos etc.

What is Vector Image?

There are two types of images in computer- Vector Images and Bitmap Images. Bitmap image get blur when we expand its size. Vector image remain it in original shape when we increase the size. Inkspace software uses vector images. Digital camera and Mobile camera are used to generate vector image.

How to draw images?

Inkspace drawing is used to draw free hand drawing.

Canvas- Canvas is the place for drawing and Painting.

Page- It is part of canvas.Draw or impot image.

Rulesrs- It shown X-axis and Y-axis of image.

Color Palette- We can select color of our choice from color palette.

Scrollbars- Scrollbar is used to see any part of the canvas.

Toolbox- It is used to select, draw and modify image.To select any tool from toolbar click on its icon. Some tools of toolbar are as follows-

1. Select tool- It is on top left corner of toolbox and used to select image/shape.

2. Zoom tool- It is used to Zoom in or Zoom out the image.

3. Rectangle tool- It is used to draw rectangle or square shapes.

4. Circle tool- It is used to draw Circle, Oval and Arc.

5. Stars and Polygon tool- It is used to draw many irregular shapes. It is also used to draw triangles.

6. Pencil/Freehand tool- It is used draw any line or free shaped figures.

7. Eraser tool- It is used to erase any free figure or lines.

8. Fill tool- It is used to fill color any free figure.

ICT is combination of various information and Communicatiion technologies to search information in effective way ICT is a broad term we can say a package used in every field specially in education. ICT is helpful in all fields of our daily life like banking, education, health etc. To use ICT we need appropriate softwares.
